The trail is in fair condition. Users have been reporting alot of Cat’s Claw overgrowth on the trail which is always an on going issue. This is why we always need Volunteers!
Please, ALWAYS use caution at ALL of the Agua Fria river crossings and creeks due to rain and/or snow melt. Black Canyon Creek, as well as the Big Bug Creek going south close to the Big Bug TH.
There are three Agua Fria River crossings going south from BCC Trailhead. The first one is 1.5 miles from the TH.
There are two Agua Fria River crossing going north. The first is also 1.5 miles from the TH, the second is north of the Copper Mountain Loop. Also the Black Canyon Creek must be crossed going north.
